Limestone karsts sweeping up from serene rice paddies, best appreciated on a languorous rowboat ride down the river, to the soundtrack of water lapping against the oars are what most travelers come to Ninh Binh want to see.

8.00 – 8.30: Our car will pick you up at your hotel. After 65 km to the South of Hanoi, you will reach this most famous pilgrimage site.

10:00 – 10:30:

* Arrive at Hoa Lu- the old capital of Vietnam during the Dinh ( 968-980AD ) and early Le (980-1009AD) dynasties, one of the most important cultural and historical site of Vietnam.

We spend one hour visiting the Dinh and Le sanctuaries. These are the two remaining temples of the ancient citadel of Hoa Lu. The first is dedicated to Dinh Tien Hoang, an Emperor from the Dinh Dynasty. The second commemorates the rulers of the Le Dynasty. Dinh Bo Linh successfully conquered Vietnam’s first independent rulers, the Ngo Dynasty. On his death in 980, General Le Hoan wisely married Dinh’s widow and established the Le Dynasty and enlarged the citadel.

12:00 : We move on to Tam Coc for lunch then take a rest for a few minutes.

13:00: Continue to take 2,5 hour boat trip along the Boi River. This area is rightly often referred as the “ Ha Long Bay on land ” due to the similar topography. Take in the beauty of the karsts formations as you pass along their base and row into one of the many caves carved through the limestone. Stop for a short rest near a small shrine before returning to the dock.

16:00: We drive back to Hanoi and arrive at 17.00
